Makerspace is a OpenEd exclusive Youth Program at Thanksgiving Point where students learn to explore their imaginations and design their ideas. Picture a science lab, woodshop, computer lab, and art studio blended together for a hands-on educational experience. Available courses include:
Makerspace Junior (Grades 4-5, Ages 9-10) lays the foundation of a maker mindset and future Makerspace courses with an introduction to design and creation.
Makerspace Foundations (Grades 6-8, Ages 11-13) helps you take your designs to the next level by studying design and creation in detail. Learn to build the ideas that are in your mind. Bring your imagination and create real solutions to real problems.
Makerspace Advanced (Grades 9-12, Ages 14-18) gives experience with woodworking tools and helps you take your projects even further. Whether you have worked in a Makerspace or are still new, this class is your opportunity to learn and create.
